Mobius is a free reading list of physics and maths books. In short: we don't ask who you are, we use no cookies, ads or tracking, and the only thing that ever leaves your device is a question you send to the AI assistant, if you choose to turn it on.
Who runs Mobius
Mobius is run by its founder, Zhehat, with RAMN as its developer. You can reach us on Instagram at @mobius.sci.
What we don't collect
There are no accounts, sign-ups, forms, ads, analytics or tracking on Mobius, and the site sets no cookies. We don't sell or share personal information, because we don't collect it.
What your browser keeps on your device
- Your choice of light or dark mode and of language, and whether you turned on AI answers, are saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers them next time.
- Your conversation with the Mobius assistant is kept in the browser tab until you close it or press "New chat".
These stay on your device and we can't see them. You can remove them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Hosting
Mobius is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles technical information such as your IP address, your browser type and the pages you open, to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. See Cloudflare's privacy policy. The site's fonts are served from Mobius itself, so opening a page doesn't contact Google or anyone else.
The Mobius assistant and AI answers
- By default the assistant answers inside your browser, using the site's own list of books. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.
- If you confirm that you are 18 or over and turn on AI answers, some of your questions are sent, with the last few messages of the conversation and the name of the page you're on, through our server at Cloudflare to Google's Gemini service, which writes the answer. We don't store these questions.
- We use Gemini's free service. Under Google's terms, Google may keep what is sent, use it to provide and improve its products, and have people read it. Please don't type names, contact details or anything private. See also Google's privacy policy.
- AI answers are not offered in the European Economic Area, Switzerland or the United Kingdom.
- AI answers can be wrong. Check anything important in the books themselves.
Children
Students of any age can use Mobius. The AI answers, however, are only for people aged 18 or over. Younger visitors can use everything else, including the assistant's own answers.
Links to other sites
Book links can lead to other websites. They have their own privacy policies, which we don't control.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
